Specific Housing, Land and Property issues pertaining to emergency response programmes have long been an area of concern and focus.


In response, YIPDI in collaboration with United Nations International Organisation for Migration IOM Is implementing and conducting Housing, Land and Property mapping.

Objectives of the Project

  1. Conduct a low-cost, simplified property mapping of target areas, including data collection on tenure status (who owns/rents/occupies) and identification of properties on a map.
  2. Undertake a public information & awareness (PIA) intervention to create awareness of HLP issues among community leaders and local authorities; and
  3. Strengthen & establish local level HLP dispute resolution mechanism in the project areas.

Target Population

  1. Whole Bama Town: Mapping of the whole Bama Town, also assessment and setting up community dispute mechanism.
  2. Damboa: Assessment using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Key Informant Interview (KII)
